Far, far too old for this sort of thing

If you thought this was going to be a cup final blog, you'd be wrong (though I'll probably do that next), mostly because I haven't got round to uploading my pictures yet.

A few weeks back for my brother's birthday we went out to see The Ghost Frequency play a club in London, Sin. I was under the impression that they wold be on at 12, thus allowing us plenty of scope to catch the 2 o'clock train home. Turns out they were playing at 2, which left us with a tricky little issue anyway, but we figured we'd just worry about that when we left.

When I left home, I checked the dress code for the place, and it said smart casual. Now, I can only assume I don't know what smart casual means any more, as I turned up in shirt, trousers and shoes, you know, expecting it to be a fairly strict place. I think I saw one other guy in shoes, not too many in trousers either. Seems smart casual can mean hoodies, trainers, T-shirts, combats, pretty much anything that wasn't shorts or a vest as far as I can tell.

The club was very well ventilated, what with it having several doors open, which I'm sure is great in the summer, but in February, not so much. Another thing even some of Ryan's friends conceded was that the crowd were far too young, and the bar staff were rubbish, I even had a go at on girl after waiting at least half an hour to be served in what was not the largets bar in the world. It didn't help that she kept coming to make her drinks right in front of me.

So we left the club at 4, walked to Euston cos I am silly (Tina wasn't too happy I made her walk), got a bus to Edgware, in which the guy behind almost had his phone nicked by the guy behind him, got a cab back to Watford and then Tina drove home from there, getting us in at 5:30. The craziness that is Tina decided she would then set her alarm for 9 so she could get up and clean the house.......madness
