Hmm, so maybe I should really post things closer to the time they happened, but anyway....
In November I went with Susie to see the Verve at the Roundhouse in Camden. This was the first time I had been there and had heard it was a good venue. Now, whilst I do agree it is a nice building, and the acoustics were pretty good, the fact it was dead flat meant I couldn't see a thing, stupid shortness.
That sometimes happens, but normally it is just the main act I can't see and the support acts I do get to watch as there are less people around. Unfortunately, this time there was no support, just a bunch of projected images (which I'm sure did have a meaning) with some backing music, not really the best way to entertain the crowd members who had been there since doors at 7 (like us).
I wondered what they would be like as they had just reformed, although obviously Richard Ashcroft (lead singer) has been releasing albums and playing concerts since then, and I wasn't disappointed. They played for two hours, which is a good session for an act (I guess they probably had to make up for the fact they had no support), and I think it was 30 minutes longer than the concert they played in the North of England the day previous, lucky us, and they played every song I knew and liked which is always a bonus....here's a couple of videos
So, that's it for now.....I appreciate that I haven't put many pictures up here, I'll try to remedy that next time, oh, and by the way, I lost my pool tournament title last night, losing in the Quarter Finals.
mickle: great; large; much.
