It seems we are living in an ADHD world, as, on Saturday we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean III, which, I might add, is a 12A, and isn't overly long at 2 1/2 hours, yet the cinema felt the need to insert an 'interval' into the film about an hour from the end. I say interval, although it mainly consisted of the film stopping abruptly and the lights coming up. There was no announcement how long it would be so quite a few people who took a break missed the startup.
Seriously, I went to see almost 4 hours of the Lord of the Rings (Return of the King) without a break, and I'm pretty sure the Harry Potter movies are all at least as long, with probably more kids in the audience, and younger kids probably, as at a 12A I wouldn't expect lots of little ones..... I don't know, it's just weird
mickle: great; large; much.
